Local Attractions
Nantwich
Nantwich is a small market town, second only to Chester in the country
for its wealth of historic buildings and today still retains much
of its ancient character. The Great Fire of 1583 destroyed much of
the town but its rebuilding has left a wealth of beautiful timber-framed
buildings. Nantwich is only a short distance from the marina and offers
various restaurant, pubs, shops and the very popular farmers market
which is held on the last Saturday of every month. Nantwich is also
home to the only out door brine swimming pool in the country.
Chester Zoo
Offering a great fun day out for all the family. Chester Zoo
is approximately a 20min drive from the marina and caters for
all ages.

Sandstone Trail
Cheshire's Sandstone Trail stretches for 34 miles/55 kilometres
across lovely rural Cheshire and north Shropshire. It's one
of the finest and most popular long distance walks in North
West England, in the UK. The Sandstone Trail is the ultimate
'Cheshire Way'. It meanders across the still largely green and
pleasant English county of Cheshire from the ancient market
town of Frodsham on the broad Mersey estuary, in the north,
to Georgian Whitchurch in rural north Shropshire, in the south.

butterfly, greater spotted woodpecker, white faced darter dragonfly,
green woodpecker, siskin and southern hawker dragonfly. At Blakemere
